What: The Union Public Service Commission will hold the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy examination (I), 2007, on April 22, 2007.

This is the qualifying examination for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of the NDA for the 119th Course and Naval Academy for the 39th, 10+2 (Executive Branch) course beginning January 2008.

Are you eligible?

~ You must be an unmarried male born not earlier than January 2, 1989, and not later than July 1, 1991. 

For the Army Wing of National Defence Academy

~ You must have completed your Class XII or its equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

For the Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and the 10+2 (Executive Branch) course of the Naval Academy

~ You must have completed your Class XII or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics; the exam must have been conducted by a State Education Board or University.

~ You could be a final year student awaiting your results.

Physical standards

~ You must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2007. For details, visit http://www.upsc.gov.in/.

How to apply?

~ You must use the common application form devised by the commission for its examinations.

~ Obtain the application form from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices (specified in Appendix III of the notice) throughout the country against a cash payment of Rs 20.

~ Each such form can be used only once and only for one examination. 

~ In case of any difficulty in obtaining the application forms from the designated HPOs/ POs, you should immediately contact the concerned postmaster.

Important dates

~ Please send in your completed application form before November 13.

~ For candidates residing abroad or in certain remote localities specified in the notice, the last date for receipt of the completed application form is November 20.
