What: The Common Entrance Examination for Design 2006, an all India examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, on behalf of the ministry of human resources development, department of education, government of India, will be held on January 21, 2007.

CEED is a qualifying examination for admission to Master of Design programmes at the following institutes:

Are you eligible?

You must have any one of the following:

~ Bachelor's degree in engineering/ architecture/ design/ interior design or equivalent.

~ BFA (four- year professional course after class XII).

~ GD Art (five-year course after class X) with one-year professional experience.

~ Professional diploma in design from NID/ CEPT or its equivalent.

~ Master's degree in Arts/ Science/ Computer Applications.

~ You could be a final year student awaiting your result.

How to apply

~ Obtain the application form, in person or by post, from the GATE Office, IIT Bombay, on payment of Rs 990 by demand draft in favour of IIT Bombay, payable at Mumbai.

Important dates

~ Issue of forms for postal requests ends: October 18.

~ Please send in your completed forms before October 31.

~ Common Entrance Examination for Design: January 21, 2007.
