Details

Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar is an autonomous research institute of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. The research activity in the Institute centers around the areas of theoretical and experimental condensed matter, physics, nuclear physics and high energy physics. The Institute conducts a one-year pre-doctoral program. The successful candidates join the doctoral program leading to PhD degree.

Eligibility

The Institute invites application for one-year pre-doctoral programme from GATE and CSIR-UGC Test (NET) qualified candidates, who satisfy the following criteria:

~ MSc Physics with minimum 55 per cent marks (in aggregate)

~ GATE qualifiers with score above 95 percentile, or, CSIR - UGC Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowship qualifiers within last one year.

Important note

Candidates who have qualified JEST-2008 need not apply. They will be separately short-listed and called for interview.
