What: An upcoming production for a new opera by Jeet Thayil (Libretto) and Edward Rushton (Music), opening in India in Autumn 2009 and subsequently in Switzerland [Images] is looking for singers who enjoy acting, or actors who enjoy singing.

Details
~ Sample music will be sent to each applicant, which will serve as a basis for work during the audition.
~ It will be helpful if the singers are able to read western musical notation and have some experience in western classical music.
~ Along with the sample piece, applicants are asked to bring a performance piece of their choice. This may be opera, Indian classical, jazz, blues or folk music.
