NMIMS admissions to full-time courses

What: NMIMS University opens admissions for its five-year full time MBA (Pharm Tech) and four-year full time B Tech/B Pharm programmes for the batch of 2008.

Applications are invited for the Mumbai and Shirpur Campus.

About the programmes
School of Pharmacy & Technology Management

~ MBA (Pharm Tech): A full time five-year integrated programme in pharmaceutical technology specially designed for those students who are looking for managerial skills in the pharmacy stream at NMIMS. The course will be predominantly based on presentations and interactions with a strong focus on the practical concepts of pharmacy and management.

~ B Pharm: A four-year full time integrated programme in pharmacy with emphasis on industry/ community pharmacy. The course will be predominantly based on practice and integration with a strong focus on the healthcare system.

Eligibility
~ 10+2 (Science or Vocational Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) and English as subjects with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate.

Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering

~ MBA (Tech): The fifth batch of MBA (Tech): A full time five-year integrated programme aimed at creating Technology managers to face challenges in the industry.

Technology areas offered: IT, Chemical, Telecom and Manufacturing at Mumbai campus and IT, Telecom and Computers at Shirpur campus

~ B Tech: A four-year full time programme in engineering to cater to the needs of industry, to meet challenges in the areas of design, development, operations and application of products and services.

Areas offered: IT, Electronics, Computers and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at both campuses

Eligibility

Important dates

~ Last date of registration: April 19

~ Conduct of NMAT (T) 2008: May 4

~ Subsequent evaluation process: June 18 - 23

Selection procedure: Based on the performance in NMAT (T) 2008 and subsequent evaluation of short-listed candidates.

Written test centres: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kota, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Surat

Subsequent evaluation process: Only at Mumbai

Prospectus and application form: All candidates who wish to apply for the above should first apply online. Along with the acknowledgement slip, the candidates should send a DD of Rs 1,600 (non-refundable, inclusive of courier charges) favouring SVKM's NKIMS payable at Mumbai with self addressed cloth envelope of size 10"x13". The prospectus kit will then be couriered to the candidates.

Note: If a candidate applies for both the schools, he/she should send a DD of Rs 3,200.
