Farhan Akhtar is ready with his second film, Lakshya, starring Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Amitabh Bachchan.
Lakshya, which is set against the Kargil conflict, seems to be in stark contrast with his first film, Dil Chahta Hai, a hip urban comedy about three best friends (played by Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna).
A large portion of Lakshya was shot in Ladakh over five months. Hrithik swears it was no mean feat. "There were days when hot water was poured down my arms because I was in extreme pain. But the toughest day was when I was at 18,000 feet above sea level, climbing with my bare hands. The fall was just inches away and I did not even have a safety harness on me."
This is the third film in which Hrithik is paired opposite Preity, after Mission Kashmir and Koi... Mil Gaya. And Hrithik cannot help guffawing, "Preity never gets in a bad mood, no matter what I do!"
Incidentally, Hrithik was to do a role in Dil Chahta Hai, but it did not work out.
