Sanjay Dutt is back!

The actor returned to work amid much fanfare. He began shooting for his first film this evening after his release from Pune's Yerwada jail, where he spent about 37 days.

The film, EMI (Easy Monthly Instalment) also stars Urmila Matondkar [Images] and close friend Suniel Shetty [Images].

Dutt was released on bail by the Supreme Court on November 27 after being sentenced to six years imprisonment by the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act court in July, in connection with the Mumbai bomb blasts of 1993.

We bet his fans are happy to have him back on the big screen.
